Anna Deem
I grew up as a Tennessee country girl, milking goats and building moss “houses” in the woods but moved to the Sonoran Desert of Arizona after marrying my sweetheart in ‘97. I had 20 exciting years in the desert doing children’s ministry, mothering, fostering, and adopting. Following the desert chapter in life, I returned to my roots in Tennessee in 2018 with my terminally ill husband and became widowed shortly thereafter. I have felt God's hand over me every step of this journey--through every good and beautiful thing and As a single parent of five wonderful children, now ages 8-23, life has been a roller coaster ride of growing through a season of the loss of my husband and finding God ever present through it all. I am passionate about teaching of every sort, which has included private Christian school, Sunday School and homeschool, current teach 6th grade at Blue Willow Tutorial. One of my favorite things is getting to plan and coordinate a camp for fatherless and foster children every summer, along with her church family, on her beautiful countryside property with its giant trees, rolling hills, and two enormous poodles. Passionate about sharing God’s love through teaching and writing.
